Gg

We have been working on the letter "Gg" this week.  We discovered that this is a tricky letter because it's name suggests it will make the sound like a /j/ (soft "Gg" such as the words gym), but we have been focusing on the hard /g/ sound (such as the word guitar).  We have a pretty good list going, but it is always great to have more /g/ words.  Check in the garage and in the garden to see what you can find together at home!

Our 5 Senses

Mr. Schlamp has been leading us through some fun centers as we explore about our 5 senses this week.  Can your child name all 5?  

We used simple sentences to record some ideas in our books.

You can practice the sight words "I", "like", and "to" at home.  Look for the 5 Senses Book to come home next week to reinforce this reading.

This is our last week with Mr. Schlamp before he goes back to Ambrose University to study more.  We sure are going to miss him.  We wish him the best of luck on his future endeavors in his education journey.

A reminder that report cards go home on Thursday, January 30th.  If you have any questions about them, please feel to contact me at the school.  

There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, January 31st as teacher will be in PD sessions throughout the day.  Please remind daycare providers.
